KidsCast (hereinafter referred to as "we") establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this policy") regarding the handling of user information, including personal information of users, in the service "KidsCast" and all related services (hereinafter collectively referred to as "this service") managed by us.

      Information such as IP address, browser type, and browser language when users use this service is automatically generated and stored. We may also use technologies such as cookies and JavaScript to acquire user behavior history.

Article 3 Disclosure and Provision of User Information to Third Parties

  1. We will not provide the acquired user information to third parties except in the cases specified in paragraph 2 of this article and the following cases.

    2. When based on the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations
    3. When there is sufficient reason to determine that it is necessary to disclose user information to the minimum extent necessary to protect our rights, property, or services, etc., due to a violation of the terms of use of this service by the user
    4. When it is necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
    5. When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person
    6. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency or local public entity or a person entrusted by them to perform the affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the person may hinder the performance of the affairs
    7. When outsourcing the handling of user information in whole or in part to an external company based on a business outsourcing contract (including cases where information management and analysis are outsourced to a business outsourcing partner for the purpose of improving the quality of this service). In this case, we will conclude a contract regarding the handling of user information with the outsourcing partner and appropriately supervise the outsourcing partner to ensure the safe management of user information.
    8. When business succession is carried out due to merger, company split, business transfer, or other reasons
  2. We may provide (i) specific technical information (including IP addresses, mobile device identifiers), (ii) statistical information that cannot identify individuals, and (iii) information related to the use of services that cannot identify individuals to third parties.

  3. Users agree that such information may be used by us or third parties for user trend analysis, demographic analysis, web analysis, and for advertisements called behavior-targeting advertisements.

  4. When providing to third parties based on the preceding two paragraphs, we will carefully consider the necessity of providing to the third party, the method of providing to the third party, the implementation status of safety management measures by the third party, the relationship between us and the third party (relationship between the services provided by us and the services provided by the third party, presence or absence of capital relationship, etc.), and the impact on the user's privacy, and provide to third parties only to the necessary extent.

Article 4 Disclosure of Personal Information

When requested by a user to disclose personal information based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law, we will confirm that the request is from the user themselves and disclose it to the user without delay (if the personal information does not exist, we will notify the user to that effect). However, this does not apply if we are not obligated to disclose under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

Article 5 Correction and Suspension of Use of Personal Information

  1. If a user requests correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") of personal information based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law due to the reason that the personal information is not true, or if a user requests suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") of personal information based on the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Law due to the reason that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purpose of use announced in advance or collected by false or other improper means, we will confirm that the request is from the user themselves, conduct the necessary investigation without delay, and based on the results, make corrections, etc. or suspension of use, etc. of the personal information and notify the user to that effect (if we decide not to make corrections, etc. or suspension of use, etc., we will notify the user to that effect). However, this does not apply if we are not obligated to make corrections, etc. and suspension of use, etc. under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

  2. If a user requests the deletion of their personal information, and we determine that it is necessary to comply with the request, we will confirm that the request is from the user themselves, delete the personal information, and notify the user to that effect.

  3. The provisions of the preceding two paragraphs do not apply if we are not obligated to make corrections, etc. or suspension of use, etc. under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

Article 6 Safety Management of Information

We will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of user information and to ensure the safe management of user information.

Article 7 Legal Compliance

We will comply with the Personal Information Protection Law and other related laws and regulations regarding the handling of user information. We will also review the content of this policy as appropriate in response to amendments to laws and regulations and changes in social conditions, and revise it as necessary.

For opinions, questions, complaints, and other inquiries regarding the handling of user information, please contact us through the inquiry form within the app.

Article 9 Revision of Privacy Policy

  1. We may revise this policy to continuously improve the handling of user information.

  2. If we change this policy, we will inform users of the effective date and content of the revised policy by displaying it on the app or by other appropriate methods, or by notifying users.

  3. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, if the content of the change requires user consent under the law, we will obtain user consent by the method prescribed by us.
